Forest Hill is spread out across Route
24, the main route through town. The area north of town is mostly undeveloped, but the main intersection is more developed. It includes
the Forest Hill Elementary School, the post office, a PNC Bank, and a few offices. There was a Sunoco station that closed down in
2006, and an adjacent convenience store that closed two years later. Just east on Jarrettsville Road is the old Ma and Pa Railroad
station, the Forest Hill branch of the Bel Air Volunteer Fire Company, and the Friends Park. Also, there is the Forest Hill Airpark,
where cargo planes take off and land, and where several commercial businesses are. South of town, on Route 24, and on the south side
of the Route 23 intersection is the original Klein's store that opened in 1979, a bank, and an Exxon station, among other commercial
businesses, up to Forest Lake, a neighborhood extending to Grafton Shop Road. In Rock Spring, at the U.S. 1/Bel Air Bypass intersection,
there are a couple of shopping centers still in the Forest Hill zipcode area
